Cuebao System Permission Notice

This notice is written for Cuebao users. It explains the system permissions we may request, the purposes for which they are used, and the ways in which you can manage them. The permissions that actually apply are those shown by your device system and by the relevant feature pages.

Notification permission. Used to send you verification codes, security alerts, service status updates and the notifications you have chosen to receive. You may turn notifications off in your system settings or in the in-app settings.

If you refuse or turn this permission off, you may still use functions that do not depend on notifications, but you may not receive timely sign-in security, service status or interaction reminders.

Camera permission. Used when you actively take photographs for an avatar, content material or problem-report material, or when you complete an operation that requires scanning a code. We do not use the camera unless you have actively triggered the relevant function.

If you refuse, you may continue to use functions that do not depend on the camera, such as text entry and selecting files you have already saved.

Photo library or file access permission. Used when you actively select images, videos, audio, documents or other files as content material, an avatar, feedback material or files to be uploaded. We process only the content that you select.

On systems that support it, we give priority to limited-selection capabilities and access only the files you actively select. If you refuse, you will not be able to select content from your local photo library or files.

Microphone permission. Used when you actively record audio or voice content, or submit voice feedback. We do not use the microphone unless you have actively triggered the relevant function.

If you refuse, functions relating to recording or voice input will not be available, but this does not affect text-based functions or other functions that do not depend on the microphone.

Network access permission. Used to connect to our servers, sign in to your account, synchronise content, send verification codes, load service content and complete security verification. This permission is a basic permission necessary to provide an online service.

1. Clipboard, Bluetooth, location and other permissions

If the Service needs to use the clipboard, Bluetooth, location or other system capabilities, we will explain the purpose in the specific feature scenario and obtain your authorisation where required by law. You may manage authorisations through your system settings.

We do not continuously read the information covered by these permissions in the absence of a clear feature scenario. If you refuse authorisation, only the corresponding function is affected.

2. Effect of refusing or turning off permissions

You may refuse or turn off non-essential permissions. Once a permission is turned off, functions that depend on it may not be available, but this does not affect basic services unrelated to that permission.

3. How to manage permissions

You may manage permissions through your device system settings, and you may also adjust notification, privacy or account settings at the relevant entry points within the application. Permission names and management paths differ between systems, so please refer to what your own device system displays.

4. Relationship between permissions and personal information

A system permission does not in itself mean that we will necessarily collect personal information. We process the corresponding information through a granted permission only when you actively use the related function and where doing so is genuinely necessary to deliver that function.

Changes to permissions. Different device systems may change permission names, authorisation methods or management paths. We will update this notice in line with system rules and changes to service functions, and we will obtain your consent in accordance with the law when we add a sensitive permission or change the purpose of a permission.
